State of The Art Digital Prepress (Mac and PC Based)
Kodak/Creo EverSmart Supreme & Pro II Scanners - These scanners feature the EverSmart XY stitch technology. They scan transparencies, reflective art, line art, positive and negative images up to 12 x 17 inches in color and black and white; high scan resolution (up to 8,200 dpi) with upgrades for copydot film scanning and digital descreening for scanning previously printed images.
Printergy Impose RIP Station - Printergy features a native PDF workflow, advanced normalizing, color management, trapping, and screening. This highly efficient RIP allows for an element-independent workflow with RIP-once output-many technology. This insures file integrity to all output devices (proofing equipment, image setters, and plate setters). We use Full Auto Frames trapping software as well as Preps for imposition and PressTouch to ensure the highest quality possible.
Kodak Trendsetter 3244F Thermal Plate-Setter w/ Kodak Processing Line - This direct to plate technology utilizes the patented SquareSpot technology. It allows for cleaner sharper dots, less dot gain, higher ink saturation on press, and eliminates the need for negatives. It produces an 8-up format plate at 2400 dpi with top quality precision screens.
Spectrum Digital Color Proofer w/Kodak Approval II Proofs - The high-end digital Approval proofs comes in 4 or 8 page formats. The proof laminates to the actual printed substrate to present the closest possible representation of the printed press sheet.
Integris Proofing System - Featuring the Epson 9600, this color calibrated device is Pantone Certified and is finger printed to matches our presses. Prints on high resolution stock as well as two sided imposition proofs. This high-end inkjet proofing device replaces our Approval proofs. Capable of printing high resolution posters up to 43 x 60 inches.
Heidelberg NexPress 2100 - A great digital proofing choice for magazines or other publications with a large number of pages. NexPress proofs are made using the actual stock, and are printed on both sides of the sheet allowing to see the closest thing to the finished product with out creating plates. HP Design Jet 1055CM Wide Format Ink Jet Printer - The 1050 CM prints high quality color images up to 36 inches wide. The printed substrate can be either from a roll or sheets. This is a great way to proof for pagination. We have the capability to print a wide variety of substrates from cast coated high gloss to smooth uncoated stocks as well as Tyvek stock.
HP Color Laser 8500 DN - The 8500 four color high-end laser has a maximum image size of 11.7 x 18.1 inches with auto duplexing and resolution up to 600 dpi.

Heidelberg Digital NexPress 2100 Plus -Four color process digital press with full variable print capability. 13.5 x 18.5 inch format perfecting in one pass with perfect registration. Prints on 20 pound bond and up to 15 point coated and uncoated stocks. The perfect solution for variable or short-run printing.
Various Small Presses - Including a Hamada Satellite 2-color press, suction-fed with inverter speed regulation, retractable color unit, prints 3.5 x 5.5 inch to 11.75 x 17 inch sheets, Ryobi 2 - color 12 by 18 press with dalgrins for richer solids.

Folders - Stahl B30: 30 inch 4/4/4 sixteen page configuration, eight page double gate fold attachment, DCT 500 digital control panels, and VSA 66 vertical compressor stacker, equipped with channel scorers for cover stock.Stahl T106: 44 inch 4/4/4 sixteen page format, eight page double gate fold, 8 inline gluing attachments for spot and line glue strips, conventional delivery. Stahl T66: 4/4/4 sixteen page format with conventional deliver. Baum: pony 2 parallel small format folders. All folders include counters and skip detectors, and can be configured to fold four, eight, or sixteen page signatures for various combinations of roll, parallel, and accordion fold.
Stitching - Harris eight pocket gatherer plus cover feeder, three and five knife trimming configurations, roll away single fold soft fold attachment. Various hand stitchers.
Perfect Binding - Horizonal Book Binder, from a minimum size spine of 2.9" to a maximum spine size of 12.9". We can bind books as thick as 1.6".
Miscellaneous - GBC binder equipment, two Challenge three-hole drill punches, 21-inch film laminator, string tying machines, paper banders, shrink wrappers, polybaggers, paper joggers, round cornering, and other essential items.

Heidelberg NexPress 2100 Plus and Internet Ordering - Offset like quality with variable print technology. Every copy can be personalized in four color process. Photos, text blocks, address information can be personalized for a greater return. Custom PDFs can be built on the web and downloaded to us for printing, mailing and fulfillment.
B/W Devices - A multitude of devices can achieve layering or ink jetting on almost any stock. These are used for personalization and short-run copying.
Kirk Rudy NetJet - 4" of variable addressing information can be applied to any stock using any windows fonts or graphics. Inline tabbing and UV drying speeds your mail to the post office. Intelligent Mail compatible.
Cheshire 4000 Video Ink Jet System - capable of addressing on both sides, up to 24 lines, in black or red ink, allowing for data sensitive selections.
Böwe Bell+Howell 1000 - six-station suction-fed gripper-arm inserter with automatic envelope feeder, stream feeder for accordion folded pieces, and in-line metering. Capable of inserting into an envelope up to 6.25 by 9 inches.
Philipsburg Seven-Station Inserter - Includes a 'thick book feeder' for inserting magazines and catalogs into envelopes up to 9 by 12 inches. We are the only Syracuse-area company with this large-envelope inserting capability.
Data Processing/List Management - Our array of list enhancement software can automatically add Zip-4 and Carrier Route, CASS certification, bar-coding, and address corrections to your databases. In addition, we have database development services and enhancements like NCOA, upper/lower casing, merge/purge, and genderizing. Intelligent mailing services are also available. Cash/Check verification, distribution, and telemarketing services are offered as well as list storage and special data manipulation projects.
Miscellaneous - Various high-speed lasers for personalization on envelopes, cards, letterheads, etc. up to 11 x 17 inches. Cheshire Labelers, both heat activated and glue activated. Various pressure sensitive labelers. In-line Kirk Rudy tabbing machines to apply tabs, live stamps, and wafer seals. We also have various metering, sorting, computer programming, and custom items to process mail.
Fulfillment Services - State-of-the-Art pick and pack software that allows us to use e-mail verification, web ordering, and 'Just In Time' shipping. We assemble kits, pack material, and ship to your exact specifications. With our 60,000 square-foot warehouse, we have 25,000 square feet of dedicated short and long term fulfillment warehousing space available.
Hands - When that special touch is required, we put into action our many qualified hands to get you handwork done — unique inserting, kit assembly, or any other special projects.
